CaliWEPS is a California-based Workshop on Empirical Political Science. Modeled off intensive workshops like WGAPE, CAPERS, and NEWEPS, CaliWEPS brings together California-based graduate students and faculty on an annual (soon-to-be biannual) basis to provide feedback and professional development opportunities to graduate students. At each meeting, four graduate student papers are selected by a committee. Projects at various stages of completion will be considered. Attendees are expected to have read all papers beforehand. Each paper’s authors provide minimal introductory comments to direct the discussion so that each project benefits from an intensive feedback session.
